How to Setup Office 365 Scan to Email on a Printer

Standard Setup using SMTP Relay.

1. Open command prompt Run command: nslookup -type=mx DOMAIN Copy the mx record address and store it for later

2. Get the WAN IP of the site that will be scanning

3. Login to the Clients Office365 Admin Center

– Go to the exchange admin center

– Go to Mail Flow create a new entry on connectors tab – Select the following options: – From: Your organization’s email server

– To: Office365 –

Name: WAN IPSITENAME (WANIP ) ☑ Turn it on ☑ Retain internal Exchange email headers (Recommended)

– Add the WAN IP address

4. Connect to the printers web interface

5. Go to the SMTP settings SMTP Server:Enter mx record from step one (hostname not IP) Port: 25 SSL/TLS: Disabled Email address scanner@domain

Check DNS settings on the printer, confirm this is set correctly Check Default gateway on printer, confirm this is set correctly
